Fall Card 2016

Here's my card for the PPPR linky party for this month.  I used PPPR files:  card base & squash friends.  For the sentiment I borrowed from Lori Whitlock's free files & just wrote it.  I got some new white pens from Michaels!  I used them on the squash, along with enamel dots & a small orange clothes pin that I also got from Michaels.

P.S.  I may also enter it into other card competitions.
Entered into Cardmaking & Papercraft: 2 challenges- fall colors, new fall challenge.

Birthday Card for Nathan Adrian

I made a birthday card for Nathan Adrian.  If you don't know who he is....first I'd say "REALLY?" then, "he's a gold medalist swimmer!" I am a fan.  His birthday isn't until December, but I thought I better get it done and sent so it gets to him for his birthday.  Here it is:

And yes I'm really sending it!

P.S. If you don't know who Nathan Adrian is.....he's a gold medalist USA swimmer!  Here's a pic of him with Michael Phelps:

School Card

Hi!  I've got another card for the PPPR Linky Party.  This card is good for teacher or child, congratulating them on making it through their first week.

I have had a hard time with the program I usually use to scan, so if this picture seems a little off...that's why.  I used PPPR files:  Card & Apple.   I am entering this card in:  PPPR Linky Party, PDE Linky Party (ch#133 Back to School).

Father's Day

I made this card with my Cricut Air Machine.  The cuts were a combo of SVG files, some from PPPR (New Year's Tag), some (flag sentiment & ticket shape) from another place I can't remember.  I combined and finessed them in Cricut Design Space.  I changed the wording, because my machine messed up the lettering (since my standard grip is not as sticky anymore).  Anyway don't tell my Dad until after Father's Day!

P.S. Entering it into PPPR linky party.

Picnic Invite

PPPR's monthly contest is here again....here's my entry:

I used the background lace (free file from PPPR).  I loved the background and couldn't wait to use it!  Those little black things on either side of the sequins are ants.  I know it's different, but I didn't want to cover up the background.

Guest Designer

I was asked to be a Guest Designer for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons on May 13th.  I decided that since there were so many birthdays for my family in May, that I'd do a Birthday Theme.  I made a card and a banner:

For my card I used the candle, patterned paper, sequins, & glitter buttons.  For the sentiment I wrote, 'Happy Birthday!' twice.

I liked the balloon image so much I did the whole banner balloons, plus it can now be used as a "celebration banner" for other types of parties.

Here's a closer look at the banner:  Each balloon is inked and has a sequin, the background is also inked.

I used the following PPPR files:  Birthday Panda & Simple Banner Shapes

Some Birthdays!

At our house we have 2 birthdays along with Mother's Day, and then my birthday is around Father's Day.  Here are the 2 cards I've made for my brother and sister for their birthdays,  and a Mother's Day Card.

For my brother's card I used some svgs I found for Star Wars and made up the saying inside (as if Yoda was saying it).  It says "Celebrate, you must."  My brother likes Star Wars, in case you didn't notice.

For my sister's card I used Cricut's free projects.  It just seemed to fit her.  I added more of the dark turquoise as a border, because it is close to her favorite color.

For the Mother's Day card I did a large shape, that didn't fit in the scanner.  That's okay, it's a ticket shape with elements I found in Cricut's free images.  I made it quite early, and a couple weeks later all the Mother's Day cards were free.......geeez.  Oh well!  I'm sticking with this, it's different.

Today I finished my April Inspiration for Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons (the contest goes till the 30th of April):

I was inspired to do my own butterfly card with my own sentiments of, "Just flitting by to say:  HELLO!".  I used files from PPPR store:  Butterfly, Card.  I also used: white & lt green sequins, googly eyes, purple & lt green ink, & a black Zig writer.

Hallelujah!

While posting the last post I realized it's been a while since I've posted.  It may be a while longer again because I've got another surgery coming up on Thursday.  I think it will be the last one.  Hallelujah!  The monthly PPPR contest is "Gettin Crafty" and here's my entry:

I used the PPPR file for the treasure chest.  It says  CRAFT PARTY   (off to the side it says bring your scissors with a small hand drawn pic of scissors)  (treasure chest) using supplies from my 'treasure trove' we will 'glam it up'!  When, Where, & There will be refreshments!  Then the white stripe that says Please RSVP to me at (phone number) before party (at least 24 hrs).  I put some jewels on it & lined it with a black pen.

Thank Ewe

I decided to make some easy thank you cards, and more than one.  I may make more because I really like them.  I used PPPR files for the sheep, and I created the text and then converted it to an SVG.  Here they are:

I made three at a time. In order for all of them to fit on the same background I cut them skinny.
