Guest Designer

I was asked to be a Guest Designer for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons on May 13th.  I decided that since there were so many birthdays for my family in May, that I'd do a Birthday Theme.  I made a card and a banner:

For my card I used the candle, patterned paper, sequins, & glitter buttons.  For the sentiment I wrote, 'Happy Birthday!' twice.

I liked the balloon image so much I did the whole banner balloons, plus it can now be used as a "celebration banner" for other types of parties.

Here's a closer look at the banner:  Each balloon is inked and has a sequin, the background is also inked.

I used the following PPPR files:  Birthday Panda & Simple Banner Shapes

Some Birthdays!

At our house we have 2 birthdays along with Mother's Day, and then my birthday is around Father's Day.  Here are the 2 cards I've made for my brother and sister for their birthdays,  and a Mother's Day Card.

For my brother's card I used some svgs I found for Star Wars and made up the saying inside (as if Yoda was saying it).  It says "Celebrate, you must."  My brother likes Star Wars, in case you didn't notice.

For my sister's card I used Cricut's free projects.  It just seemed to fit her.  I added more of the dark turquoise as a border, because it is close to her favorite color.

For the Mother's Day card I did a large shape, that didn't fit in the scanner.  That's okay, it's a ticket shape with elements I found in Cricut's free images.  I made it quite early, and a couple weeks later all the Mother's Day cards were free.......geeez.  Oh well!  I'm sticking with this, it's different.

April Inspiration

Today I finished my April Inspiration for Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons (the contest goes till the 30th of April):

I was inspired to do my own butterfly card with my own sentiments of, "Just flitting by to say:  HELLO!".  I used files from PPPR store:  Butterfly, Card.  I also used: white & lt green sequins, googly eyes, purple & lt green ink, & a black Zig writer.

Doll File Project

I finished my Doll File project for the entry to Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon's monthly contest.  The theme was Spring/Spring Break.   I created dolls, clothes, and animals that could be used on backgrounds.  I have three backgrounds so far. I will be continuing to build on the Doll File.  Here is what I'm entering:
